A mile stone in radio history! A world premier was achieved when a Transradio transmitter broadcast for the first time DRM on long wave according to the ETSI/ITU standard.
Recently, in cooperation with T-Systems Media&Broadcast GmbH, a Transradio long wave high power transmitter went into service in DRM-mode. It transmitted the worlds first DRM program on long wave, which completely met the requirements of the out-of-band emissions of ETSI EN 302 245-1 and ITU SM.1541. The transmitter, a TRAM/P 500L was installed by TELEFUNKEN Sendertechnik GmbH in Zehlendorf (Germany) in 1999. The program “Deutschlandradio Kultur“ is transmitted on 177kHz.

Burg, Mainflingen and Kalundborg are signals received from other stations.
