Renewal of Hamburg AM transmitter
TRANSRADIO has received the order to renew the NDR’s (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) transmitter at Hamburg-Moorfleet. The broadcasting facility at Hamburg-Moorfleet was built in 1960. The main antenna with a height of more than 300 m is the tallest structure in Hamburg.

After an operating time of about 25 years, one of the 300 kW mediumwave transmitters had to be replaced. The new transmitter will be a TRAM 100 (100 kW) with a much higher efficiency. The result is a considerably less need for maintenance and save of energy expenses.
And that in turn means a significant cost advantage for the NDR.
With this contract, the NDR has once again demonstrated his confidence in TRANSRADIO. The previous transmitter already had been delivered by TRANSRADIOs predecessor TELEFUNKEN Sendertechnik.
