TRANSRADIO completes AM transmitter delivery to Hungary

Berlin, May 30, 2007 – TRANSRADIO SenderSysteme Berlin AG announced today a major step of the AM modernisation program for Antenna Hungária. The focus of the modernisation program is to upgrade and to expand the national AM broadcast infrastructure to solid-state technology and to ensure a digital-ready infrastructure for the future.
As a result of the migration process from tube- to solid-state technology, it will be possible to operate with significant lower cost and higher reliability.
18 AM transmitters including several antenna-tuning devices have been delivered by TRANSRADIO since the start of the program in 2004 and only two transmitters are left to upgrade.
A unique challenge was the two diplexer installations for the same antenna in Lakihegy (135.6 & 540 kHz) and Szolnok (1.188 kHz & 1.341 kHz). Learn more about the diplexer installation on the homepage of the TRANSRADIO antenna specialist Mr. Waniewski http://www.waniewski.de .
