The TRANSMITTER FAMILY U3 offers up to 20kW transmitter output power per 19“ standard rack. The new exciter E3420 of the U3 transmitter comprises fully digital design and a digital input via AES/EBU.
All redundancy/standby topologies are supported (passive exciter standby, passive transmitter standby, active transmitter standby, (n+1) transmitter standby (max 6+1)) and the amplifier modules are designed to be hot-pluggable. A single 19“ rack can support either four 2,5kW transmitters, three 5kW transmitters or two 10kW transmitters in. Due to the modular concept the transmitter can be easy upgraded from 2,5kW to 5kW,10kW and 20kW.
