TRANSRADIO – DRM becomes market reality
Under the new name TRANSRADIO, the former TELEFUNKEN SenderSysteme Berlin AG enters the new digital age of broadcasting –Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM). In 2005, TELEFUNKEN SenderSysteme Berlin changed its name to TRANSRADIO SenderSysteme Berlin AG.
The name TRANSRADIO dates back to 1918 when TRANSRADIO was founded as a subsidiary of TELEFUNKEN. A year later in 1919, TRANSRADIO made history by introducing duplex transmission. Paying tribute to the famous name TRANSRADIO, the new name symbolised the TRANSition from the analogue into the digital world of RADIO.
TRANSRADIO is specialised in research, development and design of modern AM, VHF/FM and DRM broadcasting systems and delivers customer tailored solutions.
The professional service of TRANSRADIO ranges from the delivery of the transmitters, antennas, power supplies and air-conditioning systems to the management of turnkey projects, including all facilities to operate a broadcasting station.

Jochen Huber

As Chief Executive Officer of TRANSRADIO, Jochen Huber has the responsibility for the sales division of the company, including the areas of marketing and business development.
Jochen has 13 years of experience in the field of quality control and management in the broadcast technology industry. He started his career as a R&D engineer for radio equipment.
At Telefunken, where he spent 16 years, he held numerous senior management positions in quality assurance, manufacture and testing. He holds an engineering diploma and is a graduate of the technical university Ilmenau

Elisabeth Thullner
CEO of the TRANSRADIO SenderSysteme Berlin AG
As Chief Executive Officer of TRANSRADIO, Elisabeth Thullner has wide ranging responsibilities for the technical and financial division of the company. Mrs. Thullner is directly responsible for the areas of development, production and administration.
Mrs. Thullner has long experience in the field of broadcast engineering, especially in the design and development of analogue and digital transmitter equipment in all frequency bands.
Mrs. Thullner was responsible for program distribution in a major broadcast company before she started at TRANSRADIO SenderSysteme Berlin AG. She holds a degree in engineering and business and is a graduate of the Research - University of Karlsruhe.
